Survey work in Kanpur
Kanpur is one of UP's oldest industrial cities, on the south bank of the Ganga. Much of the work here is on built-up or industrial land: surveying an existing factory before expansion, preparing a topographic plan for a new shed or warehouse, and setting out columns and roads from the architect's drawings.
In dense areas, old pipes and cables are the biggest risk before digging, so we pair the topographic survey with a GPR utility survey. On the fringes of the city and in the rural tehsils, the work is plot and farm measurement, colony layouts and DGPS control for road projects.
How we work in Kanpur
Our team travels from our office in Naini, Prayagraj. For a land job we read the record first, set DGPS control near the site, then measure with a total station or RTK rover and mark the boundary points on the ground. For engineering work we agree the datum, grid and drawing format with your consultant before mobilising. Every job ends with an AutoCAD drawing, a coordinate list and a Google Earth KML, with area in square metres, hectare and acre.
Land records and demarcation
Khatauni and khasra details for villages in Kanpur are available on UP Bhulekh and village maps on UP Bhunaksha. Send us the village name and gata (khasra) number before the visit; we check the record and the village map first, so the field work starts from the right parcel. Official demarcation is done by the revenue department (lekhpal and tehsil); in a boundary dispute on agricultural land, the application goes to the SDM under Section 24 of the UP Revenue Code, 2006. Our survey gives you accurate coordinates, area and a drawing, and we can be present during an official measurement to show the points.

Questions
Can you survey an operating factory without stopping work?
Usually yes. We plan the survey around working areas and safety rules, and use a total station for the built-up parts.
Do you find underground pipes and cables?
Yes. A GPR survey locates buried utilities and marks them on the site plan before excavation.
Do you also do plot surveys in Kanpur?
Yes, in the city and in all four tehsils.
